Bolivar Medical Center Launches National Search for New CEO
Veteran Healthcare Executive to Fill Leadership Role on Interim Basis

Bolivar Medical Center today announced that Wes Sigler has resigned his position as CEO to pursue other opportunities. Douglas Arnold, an experienced healthcare veteran, has been named interim CEO while a national search for a permanent CEO is underway, according to Robert Klein, President of the United Division of LifePoint Hospitals of which Bolivar Medical Center is a part.
“We are fortunate to have Doug Arnold serve as our interim CEO as we launch an aggressive national search for qualified candidates to fill the top leadership role on a permanent basis,” said Klein. “Doug is a strong leader with extensive experience and a very successful track record.”
Arnold has more than 30 years of experience as a healthcare executive. Most recently, from 2008-2010, he served as market CEO for a four hospital system in northwest Arkansas. Previously, from 2000-2008, Arnold held the top leadership position for three individual hospitals in Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Alabama. He holds a bachelors and masters degree from Auburn University and completed advanced graduate studies in business administration from University of South Carolina in Columbia. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
