Journey to Clarksdale
The filming of Journey To Clarksdale at Ground Zero is being rescheduled for the Spring of 2004. However, the ten days between October 17th and October 26th in Clarksdale will still offer treats for true blues fans with local juke joints and clubs presenting a wide variety of blues.

Blues Panel

The Delta Blues Museum will present Bobby Rush, Cedric Burnside, Jimbo Mathis, and James "Super Chikan" Johnson, along with moderators Dr. Sylvester Oliver (Rust College) and Dr. Jeffrey H. Jackson (Rhodes College) who will conduct a discussion concerning the effect of popular music on Mississippi blues with a focus on history and ethnomusicology.

This program will document artistic response to mass commercialization from the other side of the tracks, from the point of view of rural Mississippi blues musicians. This discussion will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 from 1- 3 p.m. It is free to the public. This event is sponsored in part by a grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council.
