"It
is an honor to have two such outstanding business and community
leaders co-chairing this effort," said Governor-elect Barbour.
"Both have already given extremely valuable service to
Mississippi, and both represent the high quality, proven leadership
I want to be the hallmark of my administration. This will be
a very participatory, inclusive transition. It will focus on
important issues and policy decisions as well as on recruiting
strong leaders and managers to the Administration. I couldn't
have asked for anyone better to lead the effort than these two
men."
"I
am honored to have been selected by Governor-elect Barbour to
serve with such a distinguished leader as Reuben Anderson,"
said Schloegel."I am flattered that the Governor-elect
has selected the two of us to work over the next eight to 1
0weeks in helping lay the foundation for our State's future.
Haley Barbour stressed to Judge Anderson and myself that one
of his key initiatives would be the active engagement and participatory
leadership with the Mississippi House and Senate. He hopes to
create a plan whereby the Legislature and the Executive Branch
can join hands, inclusive of local government, with private
enterprise and put Mississippi where she deserves to be."
