On Thursday evening the Warehouse held a gallery opening which
highlighted numerous artists from the region. The opening reception
was once again packed as guests flocked to see the many works
on display. Artists themselves were on hand to greet guests and
discuss the body of work. In addition, Dr. Alphonso Sanders wooed
guests with soft jazz as they enjoyed socializing and viewing
the artwork. For more information on the pieces on display call

Rider: bigger and better |

Night Rider |
The Chevron station on the corner of Hwy 8 and Bishop Road, which
all Cleveland natives know as “Night Rider”, recently
underwent a massive expansion. Night Rider, which has been locally
owned and operated for over 20 years, is a regular stop for many
area residents. “We wanted to provide our customers with more
options,” says Judson Thigpen III, Owner of the establishment.
The renovation includes the addition of a kitchen, new restrooms,
larger coolers, a centrally located fountain drink/coffee area,
and a large seating area for customers. “The changing gasoline
market conditions helped to prompt the expansion,” adds Thigpen.
“We
will feature a variety of food items in the new kitchen including
breakfast items, sandwiches, chicken, and even barbecue,”
he says. Thigpen, who has owned the station since 1982 says the
name Night Rider evolved from the 80’s TV show of the same
name. “I guess it just kind of stuck with us,” he
smiles. Thigpen also says the Manager/Chief of Operations of the
store, Allan Howell, has contributed a great deal to make Night
Rider what it is today. “Allan is an integral part of this
business,” says Thigpen. For more information Night Rider
can be reached at 843-3060.
